Hokuzennnji

Receiving moonlight over the northern lands, this temple rests quietly in Tsukigata's tranquility. True to its name—northern advancement—darkness gradually yields to light. I myself have visited on moonlit nights, and the gentleness of that radiance is incomparable. Pilgrims who visit are bathed in moonlight, their hearts gradually purified. This temple quietly walks beside the hearts of northerners, their eternal companion.
