History

Byakko

Enshrined in Iwafune, this shrine has long been revered by maritime people. We have felt the prayers of Edo-period sailors. Before departing, they would always come here to pray for safe return. Both the steadfast faith of stone and the gentle faith of waves are joined here. Visitors shall sense both the vastness of the ocean and the unwavering divine blessing. The relationship between people and the sea mirrors the relationship between people and the divine.
