History
This is an ancient and venerable shrine revered as the tutelary deity of Edo Castle, famous for the Sanno Festival, one of the three great festivals of Edo. It enshrines Oyamakui no Kami and received devout reverence from the Tokugawa shogunate. Enshrined in Nagatacho, the center of politics, it is also known as the "Shrine of Politics" and the "Shrine of Advancement." Even today, political and business leaders visit to pay their respects. It is truly a shrine that tells the history of Edo and Tokyo.
