Chikurinji Oku no In

Enclosed by bamboo groves, this inner sanctum represents an even more sacred precinct within the larger Chikurinji temple. I have observed how visitors' hearts become increasingly refined in the bamboo-scented grounds. The ancient name of Funaokadō testifies to how this place has been protected as sacred through many generations. Confronting oneself in silence is humanity's deepest practice. The bamboo forest's depths serve as a sanctuary dispelling delusion.
