Iinari Shrine is located in Jinyacho, Oshamanbe Town, Yamakoshi District, Hokkaido. Ranked as a village shrine (sosha) under the old shrine classification system, it has served as the guardian of the Oshamanbe community since the Meiji era of northern pioneer settlement. Settlers who opened up this rugged northern land came to this shrine to pray for safe childbirth, the blessing of children, and family harmony. Across many generations, the shrine has witnessed the births, lives, and prayers of the local people. It continues to stand as the tranquil guardian forest of Oshamanbe, deeply rooted in the history and daily life of this community.
